Masters Division & Application forms

The Richmond Senior Soccer Association is launching its Masters Division (Over 35) in the upcoming 2011/2012 season kicking off in September 2011.

Joining
There are 2 ways to join the Masters Division: 1) enter a team; or 2) apply as an individual player (the League will place you on a team before the season starts).  To apply, click the appropriate button at the bottom of the page.

Game Days
Game Days are targetted to be Thursday nights.  This still needs to be confirmed once the fields allocations have been assigned by the City.  Most weeknight game times will usually be 9PM.  Nothing will be confirmed until after field allocations are assigned in late August.

Provincial Cup
The Richmond Senior Soccer Association is working with BC Soccer to secure space in the Masters Provincial Cup.  More information on this will be released closer to the beginning of the season.

Intra-Club Permit (ICP)
The RSSA uses an
Intra-Club Permit (ICP) system to allow for the limited movement of players between teams in the same club for league games.  The RSSA intends to implement ICP with its Masters Division to allow players in a club to move between Open divisions and Masters division.  The rules are as follows:

  • Masters players can play on ANY Open Division team in their Club.
  • Any Open Division players can play on the Master team in their Club IF they are age eligible (30 or older).

Players Under 35
The RSSA is considering allowing up to players under the age of 35 to register with a Masters team for the 2011/2012 season.  Players in this category cannot be younger than 30.  These rules will be confirmed at the AGM in August.
